The Art of Making Whisky
Whisky is the slow product of grain, water, yeast, copper, oak and time. The essential process has changed little in centuries — barley is malted, mashed, fermented, distilled and then aged in oak until it becomes something quite different from what first came off the still.
Each stage carries its own traditions, its own dialects and its own philosophies. To understand whisky is to understand the accumulated craftsmanship of generations.
